The 7542 pu-erh tea has a rich history and is well known in the tea world

This is a Chinese tea.  It is classified as a pu-erh tea.  Pu-erh teas are unique teas because they are created through a fermentation process.  Like a fine bottle of wine, this tea is ever-evolving and as it is exposed to oxygen it will further change in flavor. In fact, the older the cake, the more valuable it will be, although it is still quite nice as a young tea.

Currently, this tea has a certain level of intensity to it with a lot of astringency (think tannins in wine). It has a natural warming effect on the body and a certain level of Qi (energy).

I picked up a "cake" of this tea while in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in 2017.

I am have a limited supply of 25 grams bags which I have "flaked" off of this tea cake. That will be enough for 3-10 servings, depending on the brewing method.

You can use a lot of leaf and do very short repeated steeps or a little leaf and do longer steeps. Its up to you!
